Europe must catch up in terms of AI

China and the US are ahead in AI technologies and Europe is lagging behind. The McKinsey Global Institute has certified Europe as having an AI Gap, as it lags behind the US and China economically in terms of AI technologies. What are the causes and can Europe still catch up? The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) has analysed studies from 2017 and 2018. According to these, Europe has a lot of catching up to do in terms of artificial intelligence.
